As a reminder to all and introduction to those new to the computer lab, a few things:

  • using our electronic card swipe system, all must sign in and out, even when in the lab to attend class
  • We are a private lab so students not in classes held in the lab will not be allowed to use the lab
  • cell phone use (for calls and texting) is banned from the lab along with food and drink
  • during class, no one is to cruise the web, look at email or do personal work while faculty are lecturing
  • most students need QUIET in order to work so the lab environment during homework time is much like a library
  • glues and spray adhesives are completely banned from the lab and the entire second floor
  • no one may perform mounting, cutting and/or framing activities in the labs, on floors/walls and the break table outside the lab
  • any student who breaks lab rules or causes disruption to the lab environment will not be able to use the labs
  • there is a charge for color prints - lab employees cannot accept cash, credit card or checks for prints
  • masspass cards are the ONLY method acceptable for payment for color prints
  • students who listen to sound files should wear headphones (except when part of active class activity)
  • any student using headphones with the volume is so high that others are disturbed will be asked to turn volume down
